Charity Golf Tournament & Baseball Game Websites

As part of the Advanced Sports Marketing course at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), students coordinate two major community events each year: The Spring Classic Golf Tournament and CSUSB Night at the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino. These events provide hands-on experience in marketing, operations, finance, sales, and sponsorship management. All proceeds benefit the CSUSB marketing scholarship fund.

In Spring 2025, I served as Marketing Team Lead, overseeing the creation of two public-facing websites—one for each event. My responsibilities included:

  • Researching website design best practices to ensure clear and effective communication of event details

  • Establishing a cohesive brand blueprint, incorporating CSUSB’s official hex colors and typography to strengthen brand association with the university

  • Collaborating with experienced graphic designers to gather feedback and refine layouts, content, and event information for optimal user experience

Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in applying brand identity consistently across digital platforms, designing user-friendly websites, and managing multiple deliverables under tight timelines. I learned how to collaborate effectively with creative professionals, incorporate feedback to improve designs, and align digital assets with broader event marketing strategies to enhance visibility and audience engagement.
